Low Vision Support Group Meeting at 1 p.m. on third tuesdays of each month at the Juneau Senior Center. Join other community members who experience low vision to share and learn about ways to adjust to vision loss. Contact Leone at SAIL 907-586-4920.
Pickleball orientation is for seniors over 50 who are new to pickleball or are trying to improve their game. The session will go for 2 hours between noon and 2pm. All equipment will be furnished. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America due to the increasing number of seniors playing. Unlike tennis, basketball and volleyball, it puts much less stress on your body due to the smaller court size and lightweight paddle. The other reason it has become so popular is due to the quickness of players to learn the game.
