Governor's Awards for the Arts & Humanities

Join us on Thursday, January 26 for an evening filled with performances by Alaskan artists and to celebrate this year's recipients of the Governor's Awards for the Arts and Humanities - an annual partnership between the Alaska Humanities Forum, the Alaska State Council on the Arts, the Alaska Arts and Culture Foundation, and the Office of the Governor to recognize and honor noteworthy contributions to the arts and humanities in Alaska. We will also honor Juneau author Ernestine Hayes who has been named Alaska State Writer Laureate, 2016-18.

Join awardees, legislators, and champions of the arts & humanities for a reception prior to the awards ceremony. Enjoy a live performance by break dancer Bri McMillen and on-site art installation by graffiti artist Will Kozloff.
