ALASKA MEN STOPPING VIOLENCE
A three-day training taught by Men Stopping Violence Instructors
June 19-21, 2017 * Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall * Juneau, Alaska

For thirty years, Men Stopping Violence - a national organization based in Georgia - has engaged thousands of men as allies in preventing violence against women. Sponsored by AWARE and the Juneau Violence Prevention Coalition, the three-day Alaska training will be comprised of two separate but compatible sessions: Mobilizing Men to Prevent Violence Against Women: A Comprehensive and Community Centered Approach (June 19 & 20) and Men at Work: Intervening with Men Who Use Violence (June 20 & 21).

The first day of training (June 19) will focus specifically on engaging men to prevent violence against women. The second day (June 20) will incorporate content that applies to preventing violence and intervening with men who use abusive or controlling behaviors with women. The last session (June 21) focuses on intervening with men who use violence.
Air and hotel discounts are available for participants traveling from outside of Juneau.
