The Foundation for End of Life Care is proud to present An Evening with Dr. Jessica Zitter at 6:30, October 3rd, at Centennial Hall. Dr. Zitter, the author of Extreme Measures: Finding a Better Path to the End of Life and the subject of the 2017 Oscar-nominated Netflix documentary Extremis is a regular contributor to the New York Times. Currently, Dr. Zitter practices the unusual combination of Critical and Palliative Care medicine at a public hospital in Oakland, California. She is also co-founder of Vital Decisions, a telephone-based counseling service for patients with life-limiting illness. This event is free and sponsored by the Foundation for End of Life Care with support from the Juneau Medical Society, Bartlett Regional Hospital, Hospice and Homecare of Juneau, AARP Juneau Community Council, Widowed Persons Program, Juneau Pioneer Home Foundation and Congregation Sukkat Shalom.
