Treadwell Gold Presentation by Sheila Kelly

Date:

Wed, 06/21/2017 - 7:00pm

Join us at the Douglas Library for a free presentation by Sheila Kelly on the history of Treadwell and the people who worked there. Doors will open at 6:45pm. Kelly, a descendent of Treadwell, spent over twenty years researching Treadwell for her book Treadwell Gold. This presentation is a precursor for the Perseverance Theatre production “Treadwell Gold,” based on the book, which opens on June 22nd and runs through July 3rd. The play dramatizes events from the book that occurred during the year of the mine’s closing.
